Perhaps you’ve read the stories posted here at SportsFaith.com and wondered where this joy of loving and serving God comes from. Perhaps you are longing for this same joy …

You can have it! It’s free! It’s the grace of God that comes from loving Jesus Christ.

Our strength and purpose at SportsFaith.com come from loving Him. We acknowledge that we are sinners and are saved by the love of God that came in the self-sacrificing death of Jesus Christ.

The Word of God in the Bible tells us all we need to know about the His love. Here are some basic facts to get you started in embracing the gift of grace that is Jesus Christ.

Know that every single person on this earth is a sinner. Every person.
God cannot tolerate sin.

Because of sin, we are separated from God. Something must pay the price of that sin to reestablish a relationship with God. The price is death.

Jesus Christ – one who never sinned – paid the price! God proved His love for us through His free gift of grace, in sending Jesus Christ, His Son – all God and all man – to die for us, so that we can spend eternity with our Father in Heaven
But that’s not the end of the story … Jesus Christ, rose from the dead!

All we have to do is confess our sin, believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Jesus from the dead … and we are saved!

Nothing you have done is so bad that Jesus Christ suffering hasn’t covered it. Nothing. You may think you are beyond redemption. Think again. God sent Jesus Christ for all people, all sinners. He died for you! He rose for you! Because He loves you! He loves you so much.

If you want to know more about the saving grace of God, find a Bible and begin reading! Start with one of the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, as they tell the story of Jesus Christ’s life. If you don’t have access to a Bible, contact us here at SportsFaith.com and we will see that you get one.

God has been knocking on the door of your heart for a long time … why not take the chance, open the door and let Him in. The joy of loving Christ is waiting for you.
